Sindhuli Gadhi War Museum is a historical museum located in Kamalamai Municipality, Sindhuli District, Bagmati Province, Nepal, near the famous Sindhuli Gadhi fort, one of the most important historical battle sites in Nepal. It is Nepal’s first war museum, inaugurated in 2021, and was established to preserve and showcase the history of the 1767 Battle of Sindhuli Gadhi, where the Gorkhali forces defeated the British East India Company army led by Captain George Kinloch. The museum displays historical weapons, military artifacts, documents, paintings, and models of war scenes, along with exhibits explaining the strategies and events of the battle. It also features Mithila art, archival materials, and educational displays that highlight Nepal’s unification history and military heritage.
