About Rapti Academy of Health Sciences Ghorahi

Rapti Academy of Health Sciences (RAHS), Ghorahi is a public autonomous medical and health sciences institution located in Ghorahi, Dang District, Nepal. It was established in 2017 (2074 B.S.) after the Government of Nepal upgraded the former Rapti Sub-Regional Hospital into a full-fledged health academy to strengthen medical education and healthcare services in the region. The academy functions as a tertiary-level teaching hospital and medical college, providing advanced healthcare services along with academic programs in medicine and health sciences. It offers services such as emergency care, OPD consultations, surgery, ICU care, diagnostics, and specialized departments like orthopedics, gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatry, radiology, and physiotherapy. RAHS also serves as an important education and research hub, running programs like MBBS, BSc Nursing, and postgraduate medical studies, while training health professionals to improve healthcare delivery in Nepal.
