About Policy Research Institute (government - Think Tank)

The Policy Research Institute (PRI) – Nepal is a government-established national think tank based in Narayanhiti, Kathmandu. It was created by the Government of Nepal to support evidence-based policymaking through research, analysis, and policy recommendations. PRI works as a high-level advisory and research body that studies major national issues such as governance, economy, development, foreign policy, infrastructure, and public service delivery. Its main role is to provide the government with data-driven policy options and long-term strategic insights rather than implementing policies directly.
