About National Cooperative Bank Limited

National Cooperative Bank Limited (NCBL) is a national-level cooperative bank of Nepal established in 2003 AD to support and strengthen the country’s cooperative movement. It was created as an umbrella financial institution for cooperatives, meaning it mainly provides banking and financial services to member cooperatives across Nepal rather than focusing on individual retail customers like commercial banks. Its establishment was supported by the Government of Nepal and recommended by Nepal Rastra Bank to improve the financial system within the cooperative sector.
