About National Academy for Medical Sciences

National Academy for Medical Sciences (NAMS) is a government medical education and healthcare institution in Kathmandu, Nepal, located in the Mahaboudha/Bir Hospital area. It functions as both a medical teaching institute and a tertiary hospital, playing an important role in Nepal’s healthcare system. NAMS is best known for offering postgraduate and specialist medical education, including programs like MD, MS, MDS, DM, MCh, nursing degrees, and other allied health sciences courses.
