About Kamdhenu Dairy

Kamdhenu Dairy generally refers to dairy processing and farming businesses that produce and supply milk and other dairy products such as curd, paneer, ghee, and related goods. The name “Kamdhenu” is commonly used by several dairy cooperatives and businesses in South Asia, but one notable example connected to Nepal is the Kamdhenu Dairy Development Cooperative (KDDC). This cooperative, established in 2000, is based in Itahari‑1, Sunsari, Province 1, Nepal, and works with thousands of local farmers. It collects milk from its members and processes it into a range of dairy products—like packaged milk, yoghurt, cheese, paneer, kuwa, and other items—helping support farmer livelihoods and supply dairy products in eastern Nepal and other major towns. The cooperative has expanded its capacity over the years and continues to invest in modern facilities to scale up production and distribution.
