About ISSR INSTITUTE FOR STRATEGIC AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC RESEARCH

ISSR – Institute for Strategic and Socio-Economic Research is an independent, non-profit think tank based in Kathmandu, Nepal, focused on policy research and socio-economic analysis. Established in 2016, it works to generate evidence-based research and promote informed public policy discussions on issues related to development, governance, economy, and regional cooperation. The institute regularly organizes policy dialogues, roundtable discussions, conferences, and seminars that bring together government officials, academics, development partners, and private sector experts to discuss key national and regional challenges. Its core mission is to bridge gaps between research and policymaking by providing data-driven insights and promoting long-term, sustainable development strategies for Nepal and the wider South Asian region.
