About Gorkha Brewery

Gorkha Brewery is one of the largest and most established beverage companies in Nepal, based in Kathmandu. It is a leading brewer and distributor of alcoholic beverages, best known for producing popular beer brands such as Gorkha Beer, Tuborg, Carlsberg, and Somersby cider. Founded in 1988 as a joint venture between Nepal’s Khetan Group and the Carlsberg Group, it later came under full control of the Carlsberg Group, with Carlsberg officially acquiring it in 2024. The company operates a modern brewery facility in Nepal and follows international brewing standards to produce both local and international beer brands. Its flagship product, Gorkha Beer (launched in 2006), is one of the most popular local beers in Nepal and represents Nepalese identity in its branding and marketing.
