About Classic gallery

Classic Gallery is a contemporary art space located in Chakupat, Lalitpur (Patan area), Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. It was established in 2014 with the aim of promoting and preserving Nepali art while also providing a platform for both emerging and established artists to showcase their work. The gallery regularly hosts art exhibitions, group shows, workshops, and creative residency programs, including initiatives that support young and women artists. It focuses on modern, experimental, and traditional Nepali visual art, giving space for artists to express new ideas and engage with the public. Classic Gallery is also used as a community creative space, where events, art classes, meetings, and cultural programs are organized. It is known for encouraging local artistic development and making art more accessible to the public, with generally free or open entry for visitors.
