About Central Courtyard Thamel - Heritage Hötel & Artisan Café

The Central Courtyard Thamel is an Art Inspired Heritage Hotel with an Artisan Cafe in the heart of Kathmandu, Nepal. Born purely out of a passion to preserve Nepalese Art, Culture, Tradition but most importantly to restore and preserve the original house where our founder was born. At the hotel we have made use of salvaged wooden carvings, traditional windows, recycled paper lights, reused bricks and terracotta tiles. Nestled in the peaceful area of Jyatha, Thamel which is only a stone throw away from the main Thamel market, Local Ason market and Kathmandu Durbar Square. The hotel is an amalgamation of Traditional design yet with Modern creature comfort and amenities. Spacious rooms filled with Natural light and raw earthy pallete with a touch of Newari and Tibetan design philosophy. Everything you see or touch in the property might not sit perfectly but the raw beauty lies in the simple art of imperfection.
