About Center for Legal Research and Resource Development

Center for Legal Research and Resource Development (CeLRRd) is a non-governmental organization based in Kathmandu, Nepal, established in 1998 with the aim of promoting the rule of law, human rights, social justice, and equal access to justice. The organization conducts legal research, policy advocacy, community awareness programs, and capacity-building initiatives to strengthen Nepal’s justice system and support marginalized communities. CeLRRd works in various areas including legal aid, community mediation, criminal justice reform, anti-human trafficking, gender justice, juvenile justice, democracy, and good governance. It provides legal assistance to victims of injustice, supports women and vulnerable groups facing violence, and collaborates with national and international organizations to improve legal awareness and protect human rights across Nepal.
