About Bhotekoshi Rafting

Bhotekoshi Rafting is one of Nepal’s most famous white-water adventure experiences, taking place on the Bhotekoshi River in Sindhupalchowk district, about 3–4 hours’ drive from Kathmandu along the Araniko Highway. It is known for its high-adrenaline rafting on fast-flowing rapids, making it one of the steepest and most exciting rafting rivers in Nepal. The river features Class III to Class V rapids, which means strong waves, fast currents, and challenging sections that require teamwork and guidance from professional rafting instructors. The rafting trips are usually offered as 1-day or 2-day packages. A typical trip includes a scenic drive from Kathmandu, safety briefing, rafting through thrilling river sections, and sometimes riverside camping or overnight stay near Sukute or nearby river beaches.
