Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of Nepal’s most popular trekking routes, located in the Annapurna region of the Himalayas. The trek leads to the base camp of Annapurna I (8,091 m), offering close-up views of some of the world’s highest and most dramatic mountain peaks, including Annapurna South, Machapuchare (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, and others. The route typically passes through diverse landscapes—lush rhododendron forests, terraced villages, river valleys, and high-altitude alpine terrain. Trekkers usually start from points like Nayapul or Jhinu Danda and gradually ascend through villages such as Chhomrong and Bamboo before reaching the base camp at around 4,130 meters.
